This slight mineral taste often disappears after a few days of use, once the bottle is well seasoned. You can also rinse the bottle with lemon water to soften the taste at the beginning.

Copper exists in various shades depending on its treatment — all authentic. What you see on the inside is real copper, in its safest form for your health. The exterior of our bottles sports the beautiful reddish-brown hue characteristic of copper. The interior, however, may have a more golden or yellowish tint — this is completely normal.

This difference is due to the manufacturing process: the interior is subjected tostricter food safety standards than the exterior, requiring a slightly different treatment. The result is a genuine copper interior surface,tested and certified for contact with water, simply with a naturally lighter shade.

Cleaning is simple and natural. Once a week, fill the bottle with a mixture of water and lemon juice (or a spoonful of sea salt), let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clear water. Never put the bottle in the dishwasher and avoid chemical products or abrasive sponges. It is normal for copper to oxidize slightly — this does not harm its properties.

We recommend using the bottle only with still water. Acidic drinks (lemon juice, fruit juice, sodas, hot drinks) can accelerate copper oxidation and alter the taste. For the best Ayurvedic properties, let filtered or tap water sit for at least 6 to 8 hours — ideally overnight.
